I drew this for one of my friends a few months ago, and I hope it can bring someone else a smile now.

I hope things lighten up for him.

Oh wow, thank you so much! It is incredibly thoughtful for you to submit this here!

So I thought it would be a good idea to make a Get Well Soon type card thing. So have a bear I guess?

Aww, thank you very much!

This is my submission for Teddies for Ted.
I thought, who better to give a teddy than the Disney Princess who deals with bears? So here, have a little Merida.
Hope you feel better, Ted!

Oh goodness, this is wonderful and creative! Thank you for your thoughtful words, Merida! (And the same to you, dear artist!)

My long distance boyfriend of over four years, to be known as either E or Teddy, has had his house foreclosed about a month ago and has since then been staying at a friend’s house, agreeing to pitch in with the grocery and electrical bills. Recently, he was kicked out due to an argument with the friend concerning loud, drunken guests during the night and has had to sleep on the floor of his abandoned house for the past two nights. The two of them have since then worked out an agreement, but the ordeal, the latest in a long series of difficult financial and life stresses, including the passing away of a friend due to a gruesome suicide attempt, has only contributed to his depression.

He has very little money, but he currently works in a convenience store and is searching for another job and a more permanent and secure residence. Considering my own limited finances and the long distance between us, I can only help so much. He feels very uncomfortable about the idea of asking strangers for money and/or a place to stay and would rather handle those issues on his own, but one thing with which he could certainly use some help is bringing some brightness to his day.

One thing that does not fail to bring a smile to both his and my face are teddy bears. In lieu of donating money or offering a place to stay, you can help cheer up E/Teddy either by drawing a cheerful picture of a teddy bear for him similar to the one above or by sending an encouraging message for him to read! Even a simple sketch or a few kind words would be wonderful and help keep a smile on his face despite his numerous hardships, so please consider contributing.

Thank you very much for reading and for your consideration!

Please consider contributing, guys!

I’m not very good at drawing teddy bears, but I wanted to help out at least a bit, so…

It’s so cute, ahh! The button eyes and heart stomach are great, gosh! Thank you so much for contributing!

It’s not the best bear, but it’s the thought and message that counts? ^^;;;

Oh goodness, it’s so cute and sweet, thank you so much!
